well it’s almost midnight and I’m half a bottle into the whiskey…so here it goes. My friend who moved to a town north of Wilmington called me to check the local newspaper of that town. Apparently the huge development they’re planning on putting in there which includes a 200 boat slip marina and two 15 story condo buildings is going to get a big fat no for the Florida located developer. Huge victory. Shiiiiitt….maybe the Bills will go on to make the playoffs and the movie I’m waiting on will be shot afterall. If nothing else, this is one for the good guys…Will Stout(the developer) can go somewhere else, because in the end he doesn’t care about the city, he cares about the profit.

Water Bottles….

I know this is a bit off topic again but here it goes. I was talking to my buddy Jessi AKA Bitch Kittie, at BitchKittie.com yesterday. We got talking about cycling and that I was bored because it was spring break and wanted to go on a nice long ride(50miles) but I didn’t have a water bottle. It’s a legitimate excuse because I sweat like a pig even if it’s mildly warm in a room and I’m sitting down drinking and ice cold beverage. I bet I sweat more than anyone you’ve ever met. Even If I did a twenty miler I’d probably cramp up, fall off my bike and get struck down by a speeding car(they don’t care much for bikers in this town). Anyway, she came up with a plan to have everyone she knows in the cycling blogosphere send me a water bottle(here’s the post link) and that way I can’t complain(in light of someone taking this too serious, remember, this is supposed be fun/stupid). Guess I’ll just have to drink more pepsi before my ride, that should help. lol. I’ll probably get way more than any one person should ever have. If I get enough(more than one) I might just have to do a little charity donation or something with it. Bitch Kittie and I are working on it-We’ll see. It’ll be fun to see if I get any at all, but the point is that from now on I have to post the photos of the bottles I receive. I’ll most likely make a page out of it and put it in the “Rants” section in the sidebar so not to take up all the posting room. I actually gave out my address online too. I hope that doesn’t attract any creeps, although if we get into hand to hand combat I’m sure my 6′ 225lb frame(oh ya, you bet I lift weights) would be able to handle any creepy guys trying to peek in the windows and what not. Plus I have lots of guns and knives, lots.

Linkage: a good post on sirbikes…

A Little Off Topic

On request of Bitch-Kittie also known as Jessi Pacetti I and other bloggers have been asked to list the six weirdest things about ourselves. So here it goes.

1) I can’t stand hippies, and by hippies I mean those drugged out, dreadlocked, middle class college kids who have nothing better to do than get stoned and talk about “freedom…man..”

2) I hold grudges. I mean really hold grudges.

3) I’ve been told I’m supposedly supposed to be psychic( the ballots still out on that one).

4) I’m a very compassionate person. Why is this weird? Well because I’m one unforgiving bastard.

5) I drink at least two 2-liters of diet mountain dew a day. I heard it puts hair on your chest.

6) I hate being in the same place or situation for too long. At the same time I love a strict schedule. Those two make for some irritation.

…man I’m a weird bastard.

Time for a change…

News Story… I really hope this could happen among other changes within the system. Probably won’t though. Politicians are all the same, go where the money goes. It’d be nice to have some real people who vote sincere on the issues, but it won’t happen. Just a god damn shame what’s happening to this country. Time for a revolution. Enough of standing back and letting some rich arsehole in congress make the decisions because some lobbyist took him and his family out for an all paid golf resort trip. Shit’s gonna hit the fan. And if it doesn’t I say we start throwing it… revolvere… ….also this is waaaaaayyyy off topic but if you like cycling check out Jessi’s blog at www.bitchkittie.com and her brand new writing in the form of Shakespearian sonnets. I’m telling you you’ve never read a blog until you read about cycling skirts in iambic pentameter. It’s all here at www.pinkmtb.com I do this not only for her and my benefit, but also because there’s a bunch of lard butts reading this right now and getting on your bike will not only help you get in shape but also cut down on taking your car everywhere thereby reducing the emissions into the atmosphere…hey every little bit helps.

moose

Well it’s the new year, double O 7. I would like to congratulate all of those who made it through this year and a large “booo” for all of those who jumped ship and missed the new year.(hey blame God for the short lifespans). But seriously, I have a feeling ‘07 will have more war, more environmental destruction and of course the births of millions of babies to overpopulate the planet and use up all the remaining resources. Hell by 2008 we should be well on our way to wiping out those useless polar bears and all that unprofitable ice, thus creating thousands of miles of beaches for tourists to spend their money on if the current global warming keeps up. Personally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that one day I can visit the Smokey mountains and the beach all at the same time. It’s really about convenience folks. Ya, Florida might be gone but really who cares about a swamp and old people(that are just there to die anyway) that decided to live on a swamp. I’m not even a big fan of orange juice really. Then again if that happens we’ll see more illegal aliens than we’d ever want. Well excluding business owners that like to hire them because they work cheap and hard. I say fine the hell out of them, that’ll cure this problem real quick then maybe people will actually work those jobs because they don’t have to make jack shit because the Mexicans won’t be there to drive the wages down. I do work with some illegals at my job in the restaurant kitchen. It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s really not even there fault you can’t blame them. But the business owners and the government that’s allowing it should get off their fat over porked asses and do something about it. I say Edwards/Gore ‘08…that’s my dream team anyway. And there cabinet would be awesome. Enough ranting… On a brighter note, I have one more semester to go before I am done with college. It’s a blessing and a curse, I’ll be very glad to be done but also I have to start being grown up and paying bills, well at least paying bills. Not a whole lot new on the agenda but I am going to Alaska for about two weeks after I graduate, somewhere in the end of may beginning of June. Me and my friend Jeremy Payne are going probably flying into Anchorage and bumming around there and Denali and maybe some other places during that time. It’s going to be awesome and expensive. All the elements of a a good vacation, plenty of sun, good friends, lots of beer and away from all those crowded cities of the lower 48. My only real goal is to see a moose and try to make it to this bar in Dawson City where they put dried toes and fingers in your drinks(it’s some wacky tradition, but I’ll try it once.) But that’s a good four months off in between then and now who knows. In the meantime school starts back up in a week so I’ll be heading back to southland in a few days. It’s both good and bad. I’m bored outta my skull here at home, but I also don’t have to deal with the traffic and overcrowding of that city. The biggest city within fifty miles of where I live is like 16,000 strong. But I do miss the sun and since today is only the second day I’ve seen it since I’ve been home I’m kinda itchin’ to get back even if it is an overcrowded, backward mess. In more important news-it’s time to get back into shape though so I’m taking my bike back with me to Carolina and getting back into football shape which is helped by my every other day regimine of running 3 miles. Gotta cut off like 15 pounds. That’s all for now, remember visit Bitch-Kittie’s site and leave her tons of comments because it makes her feel good. Shalom.

Up and at ‘em

The guy in the video is awesome check out his site at here. Also check out Bitch-Kittie’s blog(I’m trying to boost her hits, she needs the encouragement).
Yesterday was pretty uneventful, went to the “res” and bought my roommate more Black and Mild’s than he’ll ever want to smoke in his life for about thirty bucks. For those of you who don’t know we live right near the Indian reservation and most people love making them rich either off buying their cheap gas/tobacco or as I heard one trucker on the CB radio call it today “the gamblin’ house.” Anyway not too much going on earlier. But me and a couple buddies went out to this place last night that is supposed to be notoriously haunted(Western NY is just haunted as hell for some reason-this is a good book about it-click here). It’s an old ski resort that hasn’t been operational for years. There were two murders there that went unsolved and since then people have been reporting stuff. We only went for a bit with plans to hit a bar up for a drink or two then come back later because it was really early when we arrived. Anyway after getting a drink or two (this place doesn’t even take credit cards/but that’s the way it ought to be at a bar, and just look at the photo I mean it says it all really) in us we went back and someone else was there, apparently the old ski lodge is now someones weekend “lets go up to the cabin and get drunk” place. Oh well plans were abolished and we all went home. However we did get some funky “mist” pictures while we were there and to make sure it wasn’t just my buddies breath(he was taking the photos) I held my breath while taking them. There also wasn’t any fog. I was only going to post on this because I thought I’d have some awesome stories to tell, however it didn’t turn out that way, but we’re going back in a few days so I’ll report back on it then fully. Instead I’m up early today because finally the skies are clear and I can go out and take some nice photos of the area. I think I have only seen the sun once since I’ve been home and that was December 14. So almost two weeks of straight overcast. Booo depressing overcast, hoooraay beer. Anyway so it’s about 12 degrees in my house since we let the fire burn down last night(yes we heat our house with that old timey stuff called wood). Luckily I’m wearing my clogs from L.L. Bean and they’re a lifesaver, unfortunately that’s all I’m wearing, jk(no cold jokes). So today I’ve got designated already to go out and take on the brave world of the Allegany highlands and get some nice photos. We’ll see how that turns out. This here’s the sweetness signing off.
